Grant Requirements: Composer / Sound Artist Fellowship Program

Application Process: Once you have reviewed the Policies and Priorities of the program, you may submit an application online to the Foundation. Go to Log In page and create a username and password.  An Informational workshop will be conducted by Jerome Foundation staff to answer questions and assist applicants in the preparation of their proposals. Attendance at one of these workshops is strongly encouraged for applicants who wish to receive detailed information about the program or ask specific questions about their projects.

Contact Foundation: The Foundation encourages applicants to contact Foundation staff to ask questions and to discuss potential applications.

Review Process: Applications submitted to the Foundation will be acknowledged upon receipt. The program staff person coordinating the panel process will contact applicants if there are questions.

A four-person selection panel will review applications and recommend recipients to the Jerome Foundation Board, which approves all grants. Selection is based on the quality and potential of the applicant's work, the strength of the proposed fellowship activities, the clarity of the intended goals, and the significance of the timing of the fellowship for the composer/sound artist.

Applications may be reviewed in a two-step process incorporating a first-round screening before panelists review the remaining applications.

Applications must be submitted by the due date and time to be eligible.

The Foundation will send notification letters once the Jerome Board of Directors reviews and confirms the panel's recommendations in June 2017. No information on the panels' recommendations will be provided prior to the letter of notification.
